• Child, Adolescent & “Catch-up” Immunization Schedules
  These recommended schedules summarize ACIP recommendations for currently licensed vaccines for children ages 18 years and younger.
• Adult Immunization Schedule
  This schedule of recommended vaccinations is offered in several printable versions as well as an interactive tool and as a downloadable application for smartphone.
• National Adult Immunization Plan
  Provides an overview of actions needed to be taken to achieve optimal prevention of infectious diseases and their consequences through vaccination of adults.
• The following immunizations are of special importance to people with SCD.
• These recommendations may change periodically, and current ACIP schedule guidelines should be consulted for confirmation.
  • Pneumococcal Vaccines
    – Children – Consult with your child’s pediatrician and SCD care provider.
    – Adults – Consult with your primary care and SCD care providers.
  • Haemophilus influenza B Vaccine (Hib)
    – 1 or more doses of Hib vaccine are recommended for all individuals with SCD, if they have not been previously vaccinated, after consultation with the primary care and SCD care providers.
  • Meningococcal Vaccines
    – both Men ACWY and Men B vaccines
    – All individuals with SCD should be vaccinated with both meningococcal vaccines as recommended by the ACIP, after consultation with the primary care and SCD care providers.
